Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Quotent platform, including the website at quotent.net, all associated APIs, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Quotent Ltd, a company registered in Croatia (“Quotent”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

The Service

Quotent is an AI-powered quoting tool designed for tradespeople and contractors. The Service allows you to generate itemised job quotes, save and manage those quotes, send them to clients via email or shareable link, download PDF versions, manage quote templates, and process payments through Stripe.

The Service is available worldwide to tradespeople and small businesses operating in any country supported on our pricing page. Use of the Service for personal, consumer, or non-commercial purposes is not the primary intended use.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes.

Accounts & Eligibility

To use the Service you must register for an account. You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@quotent.net if you suspect any unauthorised access.

You may not share your account with other individuals, create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, or create an account on behalf of someone else without their explicit consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for an extended period, or are otherwise found to be fraudulent.

Subscriptions & Billing

Free Plan

Quotent offers a free tier that allows you to generate a limited number of quotes per calendar month (“Free Quota”). The Free Quota is set at our discretion and may change. Unused quotes do not roll over. The free tier may be modified, replaced, or discontinued at any time.

Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions (Pro, Business, and any other plans we introduce) are billed in advance on either a monthly or annual basis, as selected at checkout. All prices are shown exclusive of applicable local taxes, which will be added at checkout where applicable depending on your country of residence.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your payment information is stored by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy. We do not store your full card details.

Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until that date. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial periods except where required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at billing@quotent.net within 30 days of the charge.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of a price increase by email, and any increase will take effect at your next renewal.

AI-Generated Content

Important: Quotes generated by Quotent are produced by an AI model and are provided as a starting point for estimation purposes only. They are not professional quantity surveys, certified valuations, or legal documents.

AI-generated pricing is based on general market data and the job description you provide. Actual costs may differ significantly depending on local conditions, site access, material availability, and other factors not captured in your description. You are solely responsible for reviewing, adjusting, and approving any quote before sending it to a client.

When you use voice input or photo analysis features, your audio recordings and images are processed by our AI provider to produce a draft description. You remain responsible for reviewing the accuracy of any AI-produced draft before it is used.

Quotent accepts no liability for losses, disputes, or claims arising from a client’s reliance on a quote you sent using the Service, or from any discrepancy between an AI-generated estimate and the actual cost of work.

Ownership of Your Quotes

You retain ownership of the quote content you create using the Service, including the job descriptions you enter and the final quotes you edit. By using the Service, you grant Quotent a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell your quote data to third parties.

Prohibited Use

You must not use the Service to:

• Generate quotes you intend to use to defraud or mislead clients
• Upload images or audio that contain illegal content, including content that violates third-party rights
• Circumvent usage limits through automation, account sharing, or other means
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Introduce malware, spam, or otherwise interfere with the Service or its users
• Resell or sublicence access to the Service without our written permission
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation in your jurisdiction

Breach of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

Intellectual Property

The Quotent name, logo, platform software, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Quotent Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our brand assets.

You retain full ownership of the job descriptions, company information, logos, and other content you upload to the Service (“User Content”). You represent that you have the right to use and upload all User Content, and that doing so does not infringe any third party’s rights.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the processing of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. To the extent these exclusions are not permitted by law, they apply to the fullest extent permissible.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quotent Ltd, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, arising from or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Quotent Ltd and its officers, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your breach of these Terms.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if we cease to offer the Service.

Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Croatia, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Croatia for resolution of any dispute arising under these Terms, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

If you are located within the European Union, nothing in these Terms limits rights you are entitled to under applicable EU consumer protection law, including Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or by displaying a notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription in accordance with the cancellation policy above.
